Hip hop music fans have more sex: study | Health | Reuters.com

Well isn’t that interesting. . .

So I can get more play by whats on my ipod?

Almost 38 percent of hip hop devotees and 29 percent of dance music fans were more likely to have had more than one sexual partner in the last five years compared to just 1.5 percent of country music fans.

Is there a correlation between sexual activitiy and pop-culture? Talk about break through information, with an abundance of social benefit. I always like when these brilliant studies take into account population density, and a wide array of social factors. Could it be possible that in densly populated areas people tend to have had more than one sex partner, while those same densly popluated areas tend to not have thriving country music social scenes? Lets not forgot how many country music stations there are vs. pop music stations.
So this must also mean that listening to gospel increases piety, right?

There’s even talk of stores installing facial recognition programs and license plate readers to catch repeat offenders. You’re not likely to notice much of a difference at your favorite shopping haunts. But make no mistake — they’re noticing you.

Retail collecting even more data on its customers? Nice.

Saw this article, further evidence (if you needed any) that money doesnt make people happy:
The curse of the 9/11 widows

Some interesting points in there though:

‘Congress did a three-in-the-morning session when the country was still horrified, the Ground Zero fires still burning,’ she says. ‘I felt like it was covert and sneaky, and it was really targeted to bail out the airlines.’

Ya think? The gubment protecting corporate interest?

The dependants of cleaners through to stockbrokers received between $250,000 and $7 million. The average award was $1.6 million - tax-free - but the widows of high-earners became instant multi-millionaires.

Basically they used some human-life-value-calculator that said, ‘yeah sure you all died by the same tragic circumstances, but this is the gubment and we need to look after big earners so old big-earners get more dough.’ A human life should be a human life but thats just my point of view.

I guess as long as my life is worth more than anybody elses I’m o.k.

Whats most disheartening about this whole thing is the way the people who received the money imploded. I mean wasteful spending, court room hagglings, disruptions in relationships. . . give them some money and they go Jerry Springer/Paris Hilton. I guess they could have already been dysfunctional and the whole tragedy just put a flashlight on it.

Lot of wasted MySpace hate misdirected at its users rather than the more disturbing aspect of MySpace and social networking sites.  Still.  Some of the threads are pretty amusing.
